The cherry tree in the backyard has 2 co-dominant trunks, it is splitting down the middle. I have a rope around it to stop it from committing seppuku, but that is not going to hold for long.
The tree looks beautiful when it blooms, and there is a bounty of cherries every year. Saju and Gisha and the kids visited us one spring when the tree was full of fruit. Lisa and Hannah had fun picking cherries then. It will be a sad day in our household when the tree goes.
Watched UFN and later the premiere of Ultimate Fighter, season 5 on TV last night. They are bringing back the 155 lbs division to UFC, and all the guys are in that division this season. Lightweights are hyper and crazy and have chips on their shoulders. It would be hell to live with people like that, cooped up in a house. The first fight of the night ended in a tight triangle choke with a good entry from high guard. Cole Miller is slick on the ground.
Pam has all the seedlings by the window, on a cart. I hope the cat doesn't make a mess of it by the time we get back in the evening.
Rajesh says my watercolors have a light-shining-from-behind effect. I think it is an artifact from the scanning process. Have to tinker with the settings so my sketches don't look quasi-luminous.
