I am putting up this sketch as a filler. I hope to post something substantial and important to me tomorrow, but in case I don't get around to doing it, I still have posted something for the day.
Thank you, * and Cindy, for your comments on the posts. I find it heartening when people find the stuff on the blog interesting enough to comment on. I guess the work is not an exercise in solipsism, which is what I thought when I started.
So, we all gathered at Jim's last weekend to see the Pride Fighting Championship. Turns out Jim has this ancient analog cable box that they stopped servicing pay-per-views to. Yelling at the cable company didn't help. So rest of my friends decided it was a good time to educate me by having me watch the formative movies of their adolescence. A moral imperative, they said. So we watched Strange Brew and Flash Gordon (the one with Max Von Sydow as Ming the Merciless), from Jim's DVD collection. Enjoyed Strange Brew (the beer helped). Could have done without Flash.
It was a great time.
